Dell unveiled a new version of its Cloud Access Manager (CAM), an access management tool that taps a new security analytics engine to streamline access to internal and cloud-based web applications and OpenID Connect-compliant mobile apps.
CAM 8.0 offers centralized authentication, single sign-on and ID management, enabling organizations to move away from managing multiple directories and instead connect user directories and applications via a centralized authentication hub.
The tool addresses a number of enterprise pain points, according to Dell. For instance, organizations often have a highly diverse user population, as well as partners and customers who need access but are outside the IT department’s control. They also require instant, always-on and secure access to a variety of applications that are on-premises, cloud-based and mobile.
